Dr. Austin Maho is a distinguished figure in the field of media and journalism, renowned for his multifaceted career and significant contributions to the Nigerian media landscape. Dr. Maho began his career in the old Daily Times where he cut his teeth as a journalist. He rose to the position of the head of the northern bureau of the paper before its privitisation by government in 2000.
It is from there he went on to establish, Metrospring Newspaper which was in the newsstand between 2010 till 2012 before it went to sleep for lack of funding. His love for the media and persistence saw to the birth of Daybreak Newspaper in September 2018. However before then he was the Editor of the Nigerian Pilot newspaper between 2017 to 2018 and also the business developmwnt editor of the Daily Independent newspaper from 2012 to 2013.
