Dr. Uduak Silas Obot Laid to Rest in His Country Home

The remains of Dr. Uduak Silas Obot, former Zonal Coordinator of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) for Akwa Ibom/Cross River State, were laid to rest on Friday at his country home in Nkwot Ikot Ebo.

The solemn funeral ceremony drew select management and staff of the NCDMB, who gathered to honor their late colleague.

In a condolence letter to the family, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary of NCDMB, reflected on Dr. Obot’s distinguished service.

He praised his impactful leadership at the Eket and Warri offices, where he served as a mentor and teacher to younger colleagues.

Engr. Ogbe highlighted his pivotal role in securing the certificate of occupancy for the NCDMB’s Nigerian Oil and Gas Park in Ikwe Onna, Akwa Ibom, underscoring his technical expertise and influence in government circles.

Engr.Ogbe noted that, the tenure of late Usual at the NCDMB Headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, was equally remarkable, with his insightful contributions shaping key decisions.

Addressing the bereaved family, Mr. Kingdom Unwene, General Manager of the Projects Certification and Authorization Division and leader of the NCDMB delegation, Conveyed the deep sorrow of the NCDMB community at Dr. Obot’s passing and pledged the Board’s continued support for his loved ones.

Mr. Unwene offered prayers for divine comfort, acknowledging the profound loss of the family’s breadwinner.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for divine comfort for Dr. Obot’s family, particularly in the absence of their breadwinner. The NCDMB delegation and attendees joined in a somber farewell, honoring the legacy of a dedicated professional whose contributions will endure in the Board’s history.
