Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, estranged wife of Delta North Senatorial District lawmaker Ned Nwoko, has reacted to allegations accusing her of drug abuse.
In a video shared on her social media platforms, Daniels firmly denied the claims, describing them as false and malicious fabrications. The video showed the actress leaving a hospital, where she had undergone a drug test to clear her name.
Currently locked in a marital dispute with Nwoko over the custody of their children, Daniels said she decided to take the test to put an end to the rumours and provide proof of her innocence. She also shared the drug test results online.
According to the actress, the decision was not only about defending her reputation but also about protecting her children from false narratives in the future.
“I’m not a drug addict. I was never on hard drugs or any nonsense fabricated online,” she said.
“Taking this test is not just about clearing my name. It’s to give my children something priceless, so when they grow up, they will know their mother was not an addict. Regina Daniels is not an addict. I was never on any nonsense fabricated online.”
Daniels also disclosed plans to take legal action against those responsible for spreading the allegations.
“I will definitely sue at the appropriate time. There are certain narratives I can no longer allow to linger with my name. What better way to tear down a brand than drugs?” she added.
