Dry Season: Jigawa AFAN Pledge Support On Programme Implementation-Chairman.

The Jigawa state chapter of the All Farmers Association (AFAN) has pledged its full support for the successful implementation of dry season programme as recently inaugurated by the Honourable minister of Agriculture at Hadejia Saturday.

In a press statement signed and issued to our correspondent by the state Chairman Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga, AFAN would contribute greatly towards the success of the programme in Jigawa state and to ensure that farmers benefited from the project without bias.

The statement further read ” AFAN would work selflessly for the implementation of the dry season wheat production and other crops value chains mainly produced through irrigation in order to promote better commercial agriculture especially when the Jigawa state government remained committed to provide full supports to boosting agriculture which was contained in governor Umar Namadi’s 12 points agenda”.

Mai Unguwa Jaga lamented that the federal government through the federal ministry of Agriculture is making good efforts to ensure that Nigeria depends on itself in terms food security, economic progress and providing genuine employments opportunities, where he commended governor Umar Namadi for providing all the necessary supports to agricultural sector in the state.
