The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has rejected rumors that $800 million, ₦700 billion, and ₦1 trillion worth of drugs were found at the residence of Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The EFCC issued a statement on Thursday via its official Facebook page, clarifying that the reports were false and urged Nigerians to ignore them. The commission strongly denied the speculations, describing them as a fabricated story.
Bello El-Rufai also refuted the claims, emphasizing that the alleged discovery never took place at his home in Kaduna. Both the EFCC and Bello urged the public to disregard the misleading reports.
