Eid al-Fitr : Benybite Donates Items to Mosques

Ugar Ukandi Odey, Jos

A Jos-based industrial maize milling company, Benybite Foods Nigeria Limited, has called for peaceful coexistence among the different ethno-religious groups in the state and beyond as the world celebrates the Sallah after 30 days of Rammadan fast.
The Managing Director of Benybite, Benjamin Kayode-Ojo, made this call in Jos during a free distribution of their flour produce to the NASCO Fiber Juma’at Mosque, Jos.
Speaking before the products were driven out of the company’s premises, Kayode Ojo said “peace is key for every society to thrive”, and that “the company will continue to use its humanitarian outreach to assist the needy during celebration and festive seasons, and continue tcall and pray for tolerance, understanding, good neighbourliness, and growth of the society”.
Represented during the donation of the items at the Mosque by the Company’s Head of IT and Commercial Innovation, Agboola Taofeek Olayinka, the Managing Director said the donation has become imperative in order to assist those who may not have anything to eat during the Sallah celebration due to economic hardship.
He said the Company has also donated to the NAFSAT Mosque, opposite the University of Jos Permanent Site, as well as Nadabo Farm Central Mosque along Dass Road, Bauchi State. According to him, they do reach out to Christian communities during their celebrations.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Chief Imam for the less privileged, Ustaaz Omar Farouq, thanked the company for its gesture, and urged other bodies and individuals to follow suit.
He said those who give to the needy from their heart always have their special reward, adding that “it is a divine injunction”.
He prayed for the success of the company so that God will increase it abundantly since it has made humanitarian services one of its core missions.
