Eid-el Kabir: Livestock Prices Affordable At Kano Markets – Investigation

As Eid-el Kabir celebrations is approaching across the globe, price of livestocks and related animals remained affordable in Kano markets, while people were seen busy buying some animals according to their demands.

Our correspondent who visited some open markets in Kano, reported that livestocks like rams, goat, sheep’s, cattle and camels are affordable while poultry and other birds were also being patronized by some vulnerable persons for the Sallah ceremonies.

At Dawakin Tofa local market, livestocks like ram,sheep and goat were sold at the price of 35- 90 thousand naira on Tuesday while poultry and other birds were sold from 2000 to 5000 naira respectively where most of the people that had a chat with Daybreak News described the price as affordable.

Similarity at Kofar Na’isa, where camels are being sold the price was also fair where camels were sold between 80-200 thousands while the buyers were seen busy selecting some of their choice which shows that this year festivals would also be remarkable.

Some of the dealers disclosed that people of all categories are trying to at least buy a ram for sacrifice while others bought their animals to celebrate with their families which is an annual event.
