The workshop on Emerging Technology, specifically focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Journalism, was a highly anticipated event. Journalists, editors, and media professionals gathered to explore the potential of AI in their field.

 Introduction to AI in Journalism focused  with an introduction to AI and its applications in journalism. Speakers discussed how AI can automate tasks, such as data analysis and content generation. They also explored the use of AI-powered tools for research and fact-checking.

One speaker the Vice Chancellor of ICONIC Open University Dr. Shadi Sabeh an AI expert, demonstrated how natural language processing (NLP) can help with article summarization and keyword extraction. The audience was impressed by the potential time-saving benefits.

He said AI-Powered Storytelling delved deeper into AI-powered storytelling.

M/ Participants learned about AI-generated content, including automated news articles and social media posts. They also discussed the ethics of using AI in journalism, including transparency and accountability.
