From Noah Ocheni, Lokoja

The President/ Founder of Enemona Humanitarian Foundation, Ambassador Gabriel Onoja said arrangements has been concluded to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nollywood actor, Ken Erics’ company to hunt talents.

Onoja who disclosed this shortly after a meeting with the Actor in Lagos on Saturday said this arrangement was part of his bid to take youths out of crime and to encourage them to positively use thier talents for good.

In a press statement issued to Journalists in Lokoja over the weekend, the Foundation President said his desire to explore the potentials of Kogi Youths in the entertainment sector was aimed at harnessing their talents, package them and make their talents internationally marketable.

Amb. Onoja hinted that a formal endorsement deal will be done with the prolific screen “god” which will afford him the opportunity to interact with youths across the three senatorial districts of Kogi state and find a way of assisting them in achieving their entertainment goals.

“During the visit of the actor to Kogi State, special business sessions will hold for Kogi entertainers where idea sharing will hold to open windows of business opportunities for them.’

He pointed out that such visit will witness endorsement deal which will be perfected soon with the aim of training the youths in their respective relevant choice of interest.

Amb. Onoja stressed that during the visit, Enemona foundation will also arrange meeting with the state’s tertiary institutions, particularly, department of Theatre Arts in Prince Abubbakar Audu University Anyigba and the College of Education Ankpa to enable the Actor share experiences with students.

Responding, the Nollywood actor, Ken Erics who described Gabriel Onoja as an industrious son challenged other influential Kogites to emulate Amb. Onoja by using thier influence positively to the advantage of Nigerian youths.

He described the Igala people as very resilient and hardworking people with the “I can do spirit”, by attesting to the fact that a few of them in Nollywood have proven to have capacity for performance.

“This development is coming few days after Enemona Foundation returned to Nigeria from Benin Republic where youths and women received empowerment in the founder’s mother’s country home.”
