Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Abuja mark 2022 Women anniversary in grand style

It was a gathering of women from all branches, districts and provinces of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church as they converged at the National Headquarters Annex Cathedrals, Abuja to celebrate the 2022 Women Anniversary with a thanksgiving service to mark the 48th year of the Church existence.

Members of the Women wing, ESOCS church National Headquaters Annex Cathedral, (NHAC), Abuja were not left out of as they were present in their numbers to celebrate the event in grand style.

The event which took place from Wednesday, 24th – Sunday, 28th August brought in attendance many dignitaries within and outside the church.

The line up of activities to also mark the church Anniversary was A One-Day Workshop titled ‘ The Cradle and the Mother: The Role of Mothers In Mentoring The Girl Child”.

According to the church Secretariat, the seminar was to sensitize women, mothers and care givers on their numerous roles in bringing up their children towards building a better and viable society.

Chairperson of the Women Wing, NHAC- Abuja, Senior Mother-In-Isreal Joy Agbata emphazied the need to mentor and educate the girl- child towards making her live a healthy life.

Agbata said,”Literally, educating the girl-child translates to better, healthy life for the future generations, reduction in child mobility and mortality.”

“It also helps them to improve themselves, and gives them that confidence, leadership abilities, and communication skills for both the mentor and mentee.”

“We must therefore as worthy mothers put in our best and do all it takes to give our children quality life by mentoring them in right path. “

Guest preacher, Prophetess Esther Ogechi Imo in her sermon titled ” The Sufficiency of God’s Grace’ drawn from the book of 2nd Corinthians 12:9) urged women to be humble and obedient in order to obtain God’s grace in their life in addition to being obedient to constituted authorities in the church and by extension, the nation.

According to her, humility and obedience remains the road map to greatness noting that without humility one cannot enjoy God’s grace in life.

She defined the grace of God as unmerited favour and a gift of God to mankind because it is not seasoner.

She cited an example of Queen Esther and Rahab, a prostitute and Biblical heroine who found favour and grace of God.

She therefore urged women to imbibe obedience as a life style in order to accomplish their task in life and call of God.

She explained further that God’s grace can save one’s life in a powerful way and His grace is sufficient for everyone who believes and trust in him.

Enumerating one of the Convenant keys to enjoying God’s grace, she admonished women to lead a prayerful life with Thanksgiving spirit instead of gossiping.

She also appealed to the women to desist from complaints and murmuring by living a life that pleases God.”

Highlight of the event was traditional march past by women, perfomances by the extra ordinary children, wrapper and Igele tying competition by the men fold drawn from groups 1-4 as well as choir and drama presentations, show casing the good lifestyle of queen Esther.
