Ex-army General declares intension for Zango/Jaba Federal Constituency

..Donates relief materials to IDPs

General Katunku Simon Gora (retd), an ex-army general, has officially declared his intention to contest for Zango/Jaba Federal Constituency under the platform of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP)_ahead of 2023 elections.

The Ex-army Chief disclosed this at the Party’s office in Zonkwa, the headquarters of Zango Kataf and Jaba Local government Areas of Kaduna State respectively over the weekend.

General Katunku also use the occasion to visit some IDP Camps and donated relief materials to help cushion the effect of hunger.

He however charged the victims to stand firm and trust God that their present situation will soon be over.

While he reel out his campaign plans, he reiterated his determination to ensure fairness and justice, adding that issues of majority and minority would be addressed.

According to him, issues that are causing divisions would be addressed, noting that there was unity in Zango Kataf.

“I knew that even when I was in service and whatever you do you do it collectively as a group but unfortunately we’re experiencing a different thing entirely.

He further appealed to the electorates to give him an opportunity where he will initiate a round table discussion with their stakeholders, opinion leaders to see how they can all benefit including devastating Communities within the constituency.

” I promised to give special attention to women and Youth empowerment, noting they’re mostly affected with poverty,” Katunku vowed. Adding that ,”We’ll train them in different skills so that at the end of the day we’ll support them with starter packs so that they can establish themselves and become employer of labour.

He urged the electorates to give him a chance to bring back synergy in Zango Kataf Local Government for sustainable development and mutual co-existence.

Katunku, the House of Representative hopeful, inaugurated his campaign team and presented 4 Cars and 2 super Scooter Motor Cycles to People living with disabilities.
