Eyo Masquerade Approved Signature Appearance for Eko Nafest – Tourism Commissioner

Lagos State Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Uzmat Akinbile Yusuf, has disclosed that the iconic Eyo Masqurade has being approved as the signature appearance for the 35th Edition of the National Festival for Arts and Culture, NAFEST coming up next month in Lagos the Economic hub of the nation.
Yusuf made this.known while commending Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.for his steadfast support towards the successful hosting of the festival.
He said, ” we are excited to welcome Nigerians from all works of life to the . Aquatic city of splendour and excellence. The Eyo Masqurade special appearance on the opening ceremony at Onikan Stadium to unveil the festival will surely add glamour to this iconic festival.
From security, transportation, accommodation and sundry logistics commitments, Yusuf gave assurance that the military is on ground to ensure a hitch event.
Furthermore, the Commissioner of Tourism. commended the NCAC Director General, Otunba Segun Runsewe for providing an enabling platform, and his versatility to ensure a successful cultural fiesta.
Permanent Secretary of Lagos States Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Uuimde Nathan- Mash noted that the infusion of creativity, logistics and security makes the festival stand out, adding that the last Eko Nafest was held in 1988.

Senior Special Assistant to governor sanwo-0lu on Tourism, Olatunji Seymour, also credited Otunba Runsewe for driving the Nafest initiative, adding that the festival will put Lagos State on the World stage throughout festival.
A former Special Adviser to Sanwo-Olu, Solomon Bonus noted that Eko Nafest, with confirm that the State provides a safe haven for all Nigerians.
Eko Nafest, will make a new statement in the cultural tourism history of Nigeria, he emphazied.
