The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended Labour Day greetings to workers across Kano State and beyond.
The message was conveyed in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Friday.
Falgore described workers as the engine room that drives sustainable socio-economic development in any society.
He emphasised that the nature of work is rapidly evolving due to economic, demographic, technological, and environmental changes.
As workers mark Labour Day 2026, he urged them to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop strategies for continued advocacy for the protection of workers’ rights, particularly in addressing emerging challenges in the world of work.
Falgore said, “I salute all workers in Kano and pledge that the legislative arm will continue to strive to promote policies that enhance workers’ welfare and well-being.”
