Family Concerned About Disappearance of Banker in Ogun

Mrs. Temitope Openaike, an employee of a microfinance bank in Onikolobo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has expressed her worries over the disappearance of her husband, Mr. Olumide Openaike, who works at another microfinance bank at Kemta Oloko, Abeokuta. Mr. Openaike left home for work on Wednesday, January 17, and has not returned since.

A viral WhatsApp message shared details about the missing 35-year-old banker and father of one, urging anyone with information to come forward. The message highlighted that no one had seen or heard from him since that Wednesday morning.

Speaking with a correspondent, Mrs. Openaike explained the circumstances, saying they both left home together but parted ways at Elega junction. Attempts to contact him later in the day proved futile, and he did not return home. His colleagues also reported that he did not show up at work.

Mrs. Openaike has reported the incident to the police at Bode Olude and the police station at Adatan, Abeokuta. She expressed the family’s concern and reliance on security agencies to assist in locating her missing husband.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the report and assured that efforts were underway to spread awareness and locate Mr. Olumide Openaike. SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the command, stated that the police are working to reunite him with his family.
