FCTA to convert Agric building to Ministry of livestock

By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, said that the Ministry of Agriculture building in the Central Business Area of Abuja is soon to be converted to the newly created Ministry of Livestock.

Wike who made this known on Wednesday when he went on inspection to the former Ministry of Agriculture building, said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, to refurbish and furnish the building and convert it to the newly created livestock ministry.

The FCT Minister told newsmen after the inspection that the building has passed the integrity test, and the Administration will invite companies to access the building and give a quotation for the project which he described as an emergency work, adding that it is a welcome development and people are waiting for it to start.

The FCT Minister, however, emphasized that the project will be given to the most responsive builder which the government can afford and handle.
