The Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo has ruled that it has full jurisdiction to entertain the case between Rimande Bitrus Nuhu Vs Gen. Bauka and Independent National Electoral Commission brought before it.

The presiding judge, Justice Steven Pam in his ruling asked the plaintiff to file the case by way of summons. Council to the plaintiff Bar. Saleh Abdullahi said they are going back to the drawing board to look at the issues raised by the court before approaching the court again.

Meanwhile, council to the defendant Barr. Chukwukwu Ichelo said, despite the fact that the court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, they are ready for what ever decision the plaintiff is ready to take.

Earlier the defendant filled an application that the plaintiff over shot the stipulated time of 180days to over 200days to arrive the court and so the court lacks the jurisdiction to handle the case.

Rimande Bitrus, who aspired for the senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress APC for Taraba Southern senatorial seat is contesting the party primaries that led to the emergence of Gen. Bauka as the senatorial candidate of the party in the last general elections in the country.
