Since the early hours of today Tuesday when the outbreak started, it continued to wreck havoc until late this evening.

Against this, the state deputy governor, Manir Muhammad Dan’iya visited the scene where he commiserated with the affected persons.

The deputy and his entourage while at the venue organized special prayers for non reoccurrence of the outbreak saying it was the will of the Supreme Creator.

Earlier, the chairman, Sokoto Marketers Association, Alhaji Chika Sarkin Gishiri said the outbreak was just the will of God as nobody can be blamed for the outbreak as it started even before daybreak when the market would be opened and further explained to the deputy governor that over 308 shops and stalls belonging to grains, leather and other materials burnt to ashes despite the efforts of the state fire service under the leadership of Alhaji Budah.
