Fire Station Saves Over 260 Lives This Year

The Director-general in charge of Arkilla Fire Station, Sani Muhammad Budah has disclosed that they have recorded 452 fire outbreaks from January to date.
Budah made this known while addressing newsmen on the disaster caused by fire this year.
He said they rescued 4 lives and 6 lives consumed while 261 were saved.

He added that N767,910,000 worth of properties were also lost to fire disaster adding that the estimated cost of properties saved amounted to N1,177,504,000.

He therefore called on the general public,factory owners as well as motorists to be law abiding by possessing fire extinguishers to avoid or reduce damages of their properties.
He said possessing of this would be a form of safeguarding properties.

He as well called on Petrol station owners to install extinguishers in their stations.
He commended the state government for the immense assistance of proving adequate resources to effect the duty imposed on them.
