First Ilase-Ijesa Day – Traditional Ruler Calls For Peace Among Residents.

The Alase of Alase-Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Jimoh Isiaka Adesina, has admonished the entire residents of the sleepy community to demonstrate peace and always join hands together in developing their father’s land.

The traditional ruler gave this word of admonishment on Saturday while addressing sons and daughters of his domain who gathered at St. Paul’s School, Ilase-Ijesa to celebrate their first Ilase-Ijesa Day celebration.

Part of the activities was launching for the building of an ultra-modern palace for their monarch.

Oba Adesina enjoined the indigenes of the community both home and diaspora to abhor any negative behavior that tend to jeopardize the peaceful coexistence between the various quarters of the town saying “the more we are, the greater the share of honor.”

While speaking, one of the illustrious sons of Ilase-Ijesa who has been instrumental to the creation of jobs to over a thousand indigenes of the community, Prince Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi warned parents against preventing their wards to be coming to their native home and develop it.

Fadahunsi, who is vying for Osun East Senatorial District seat asked mother’s especially to allow their children to always visit their native town and invest there.

He, therefore, urged the sons and daughters of the town who have excelled in their varying callings to assist other indigenes of the land to grow.

Meanwhile, the president of Ilase-Ijesa National Union, Sir M. Aluko has called on the Federal and State Governments to support the community in realizing their goal of building ultra-modern Oba’s palace and infrastructural development projects.

The people of the town were filled with joy at the ceremony. Most of the invited launchers donated funds for the building of the projects among cultural presentations by the youths of the community.
