Five killed in Kogi auto crash – FRSC

The Kogi State Sector Commander of the of the Federal Road Safety Corp, (FRSC), Mr. Samuel Oyedeji on Thursday confirmed the death of five persons in a auto crash involving two vehicles along Lokoja/Kabba road.

Oyedeji who confirmed the incident to newsmen said that the two vehicles involved are a Ford Galaxy space wagon and a Mazda car.

The incident was said to have occurred on Thursday in a village between Agbede and Agbadu villages along Lokoja/Kabba road

He said that eight persons were involved with five dead while three others sustained serious injury when the two vehicles were said to have collided as the one on high speeds was trying to overtake a truck.

“A Ford Galaxy space wagon and Mazda car collided, 8 persons involved,5 dead,3 injured.
The two vehicles heading in opposite directions were said to have collided when one was trying to overtake a truck but met the other suddenly and collided with the one coming from the opposite direction,” he said.
