Five wards in Specialist Hospital Sokoto equipped With Solar For effective service delivery

Inspecting the wards, the State Commissioner of Health Dr Faruk Umar Abubakar Wurno said the provision of Solar power facilities are part of the State government’s effort in ensuring conducive environment in the Hospital.

The wards include Balaraba Tsohuwa A, B and C, Eclamptic and Male Surgical.

Dr Faruk Umar Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the quality of the renovation work executed at the Male surgical ward.

The Commissioner however assured that the remaining wards, Auditorium, Senior service and EPU would soon be renovated and provided with Solar.

He therefore commended the Management and Staff of the Hospital for remaining alive to their responsibilities and urged them to maintain the tempo.

Information Officer of the Ministry, Nura Bello said the Commissioner directed the Management to ensure 24 hours service at Antenatal care ANC unit of the hospital.

He was later conducted round by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital Dr Attahiru Isah Sokoto.

He was accompanied on the visit by Directors of the ministry.
