FORMER ATTORNEY-GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION AND MINISTER OF JUSTICE CHIEF M. K. AONDOAKAA, SAN MOURNS WITH YAR’ADUA FAMILY, PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE MATRIARCH

Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN has described the demise of the mother of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, GCFR as a huge loss to Nigeria and the African continent in general.

Hajiya Aya Dada Musa Yar’Adua, died at the Katsina State Teaching Hospital on Monday evening 2nd September, 2024 at the age of 102.

According to the former Chief law officer of the Federation, “I am saddened by the passing of Hajia Aya Dada Yar’Adua, mother of my late mentor, President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua GCFR, who served as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in 2010, under whom I was privileged to have served as Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

Hajiya Dada She was known for her strong character and her influence on her son’s life and career. She was indeed, a great mother to me and a mother to multitudes, as her home was always opened and welcoming to everyone with love. I personally missed her ‘Fura-de-Nono’. She will be deeply missed.

“On behalf of Aondoakaa Ugbudu family, Prime Juris and Mikap Nigeria Limited, I express our profound condolences to the Yar’Adua family, friends and associates over this irreparable loss.

“My condolences also go to the Government and people of Katsina State. May her sins be forgiven and that she be granted Aljannah Firdausi.” The statement reads.

She is expected to be buried in Katsina in accordance with Islamic rites.

May Almighty God grant her eternal rest.
