Former Commissioner Yargwa Declares for Wamba Assembly Seat Under ADC

A former commissioner in Nasarawa State, Ambassador Isaac Lucky Yargwa, has declared his intention to contest for the Wamba State Constituency seat in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Yargwa announced his bid during visits to the party’s ward offices in Kwara and Wamba in Wamba Local Government Area, where he met party members and supporters.

Speaking at the events, he outlined priorities including education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. He said he would advocate policies to improve primary healthcare access and expand skill acquisition opportunities in rural communities. “My focus is on laws that support quality education, accessible healthcare, and grassroots development,” he said.

Yargwa also pledged transparent representation, stating that his ambition is driven by a commitment to community development. ADC stakeholders present at the event expressed support for his candidacy. A former member of the House of Representatives, Abdulkarim Usman, said the party remained confident about its prospects in future elections.

State Deputy Chairlady of the ADC, Comfort Ishaya, said the party was gaining support at the grassroots level and expressed optimism about Yargwa’s chances.Party members also commended the aspirant and pledged to support his campaign. The declaration forms part of early political activities ahead of the next election cycle in Nasarawa State.
