Speaking on Canal Champions Club, Nasri expressed shock at the timing of the ruling, which came weeks after the final had already been played and celebrated.
The former midfielder questioned the reasoning behind such a delayed verdict, stressing the emotional toll on Senegal’s players and supporters. “If they had done it the same evening or the next day, we could understand, but now?” he said, before adding sarcastically, “Next time, will they do it in 2035?”
According to Nasri, reversing the result long after the trophy presentation undermines the credibility of the tournament and raises concerns about the governance of African football.
