Foundation donates Foodstuffs, Cloths, Cash to Orphans, Kaduna

An NGO, Children Leadership Mentorship Foundation (CLEMF) Wednesday distributed foodstuffs, cloths and some cash donations to orphans and vulnerable Children in kaduna state.


Presenting the items in the foundation office at Choice Plaza Alkali road Kaduna, the founder Alhaji Bashir Adamu said the event marked the second phase of the programs titled “Sow Seed” for the orphans and vulnerable children in the society.


He lamented that some children lost their parents many years ago for different reasons including HIV/Aids, and most recently those involved in armed conflicts among others.He therefore stated that the gesture was aimed at ameliorating the surferring of the beneficiaries especially in the face of the current harsh economic situation in the country orchestrated by Covid-19 and insecurity.He said “Today marks another important day on the history of our foundation as we embarked on the second phase of the program titled Sow Seed for the Orphans and the vulnerable children.”In 2023, the UN estimated the number of Orphams to be over 43 million, that is 12.3 percent of all children in the region.Thisis an increase of over 11 percent since 1990”, he said.


According to hm, “Some Children lost their parents for many different reasons, the issue of HIV/Aids which is hard to avoid or recently those that  were involved in armed conflicts. The extended family system care for the most of the children, but there are still many that are left on their own” he said.As part of the program of event “Were  giving out some materials such as cloths, foodstuffs and cash to the children and their care givers.


The ceremony was attended by Orphams and vulnerable Children from various communities across kaduna state.Personalities present at the ceremony include founder and national President of Woman for Peace in Nigeria (WOPIN) Hajiya Maryam Abdullahi among others. En
