Foundation enrolls 200 less privileged into Health Insurance Scheme in Kaduna

In a benevolent move aimed at enhancing accessibility to healthcare by the less privileged, especially women and children, the Caleb Danladi Foundation (CDF), has enrolled 200 beneficiaries into the free Kaduna State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme.

The beneficiaries who are mostly less privilege, women and Children were carefully selected across the four chiefdoms Jaba, Kagoma, Barde, and Bajju Chiefdoms in Southern Kaduna senatorial zone of Kaduna state.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Caleb Danladi Foundation underscores a commitment to improving the welfare and health outcomes of vulnerable populations within Kaduna State.

Most of the beneficiaries identified for enrollment belong to socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, where access to quality healthcare services is often limited.

In a statement, the Director General of the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Agency (KADCHMA), Alhaji Abubakar Hassan, expressed gratitude towards Caleb Danladi Foundation for its proactive efforts in addressing healthcare disparities.

Although unable to attend personally, Hassan’s positive sentiments were conveyed by the Director of Admin and Finance, Suleiman Mustapha, who represented him at the enrollment event and exercise.

Hassan praised the NGO’s commitment to societal welfare and its role in advancing the state’s healthcare agenda.

He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in achieving universal health coverage and ensuring that even the most vulnerable segments of society have access to essential health services.

The initiative not only provides immediate relief to the beneficiaries but also sets a precedent for collaborative efforts between non-governmental organizations and government agencies in tackling pressing social issues such as healthcare access.

“It is hoped that this partnership will serve as a model for future endeavors aimed at uplifting underserved communities across Kaduna State”, he stated.

The founder of the NGO Mr. Caleb Danladi Bako said as a person who grew up in the village, he was moved to assist the down trodden by enrolling them into the health insurance scheme to enable them have access to free medical health care and reduce maternal mortality which is becoming alarming.

He said the gesture would be extend to cover all the three senatorial zones of Kaduna state.

Caleb Danladi who also expressed concern over the high rate of out of school children in the society and said that plans are on the way by the foundation to embark on sensitization campaign towards enrolling school aged children to reduce the menace of out of school children in the society.

Caleb Danladi who earlier visited the KPOK HAM, Mallam Danladi Gyet Maude in his palace to seek for Royal blessing said the foundation has enrolled hundreds of children for WAEC and JAMB to enable them further their education, while arrangement have been concluded to train women on various skills.
Responding, the KPOK HAM Danladi Gyet Maude commended the founder of the foundation for giving back to the society through selfless service to humanity saying the impact of his work would leave after him.

In a good will message, the Bishop of Anglican Communion, Kwoi Diocese, Paul Samuel Zamani, described the effort of the foundation as a welcome development that would give the beneficiaries more sense of belonging, and commended the founder, Caleb Danladi Bako for having the less privileged people at heart.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed thanked the foundation for coming to their aid in that direction and pray God to reward the initiator of the program.

Among the distinguished guests present were the District Heads of Nok, Kwoi, Samban, and Bade, representing various facets of Kaduna’s cultural tapestry. Their presence signified a unified endorsement of Danladi’s efforts to sponsor the less privileged in accessing the contributory health insurance scheme, a gesture that resonated deeply with the community’s values of compassion and solidarity.

Also in attendance were prominent figures such as the Village Head of Samban Gida, Wakilin Kpop Ham, the Secretary to the Ham Traditional Council, and the Secretary of the Kpop Gwong Traditional Council, all of whom lauded Danladi for his selfless dedication to humanitarian service.

Furthermore, the ceremony enjoyed the participation of religious and youth leaders, including representatives from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), and the Ham Youth Wing. Their presence underscored the interfaith and intergenerational support for Danladi’s noble cause, highlighting the universal appeal of his mission to uplift the marginalized.
The array of traditional rulers, dignitaries, and community leaders in attendance exemplified the collective endorsement of Danladi’s humanitarian vision. Their unified presence served as a powerful affirmation of the importance of community engagement and collaboration in addressing societal challenges.

During the visit, the esteemed royal figure took the opportunity to extend his gratitude and admiration for Danladi’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the less privileged through the sponsorship of the contributory health insurance scheme.
