During the event held in Abuja on Thursday, Engr. Oluwasegun Ogunsola, the Country Director of COLLETT Foundation in Nigeria, explained the primary purpose of the competition. He emphasized that it aimed to inspire Nigerian youth to write about the aspects of their country that are truly uplifting, fostering a more positive outlook towards Nigeria. Furthermore, Ogunsola emphasized that the competition aimed to motivate young people to recognize their potential, believe in themselves, and cultivate a positive mindset.

The event marked the second edition of the COLLETT national writing competition, demonstrating the Foundation’s commitment to encouraging the youth to focus on the inspiring aspects of Nigeria, thereby nurturing a generation of forward-thinking leaders who have a strong sense of self-worth and believe in their capabilities. As a token of appreciation for their efforts, the competition rewarded these young talents with valuable prizes.
