In a disturbing incident in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, four suspects, including a suspected cyber fraudster named Precious Mayor, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in hostage-taking and torture. The three other accomplices were identified as Prince Afam, Israel Simon, and Emmanuela Mayor.

The suspects had provided accommodation to three adult males from Imo State, namely Ejika Ozor (22 years old), Emeka Ukegbu (20 years old), and Solomon Uche (19 years old). These individuals had come to Lagos to learn cyber fraud techniques.

However, things took a dark turn when, after failing to meet the expectations of their hosts, the victims were locked indoors and subjected to daily beatings and various forms of torture as part of their supposed training.

Frustrated and desperate, the three victims managed to devise a plan to escape their captors. They were eventually caught scaling the fence of the house where they were held.

Local vigilantes apprehended them, initially suspecting them of being thieves. However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that they had been held against their will and had endured severe physical abuse.

The local security team handed the victims over to the police, who subsequently raided the apartment and arrested the four suspects. The suspects confessed to coordinating the punishment of the victims, with one person responsible for daily beatings while another prevented the victims from escaping.

Various items, including a black jacket, a jackknife, several phones, a black pot, and items suspected to be charms, were recovered from the suspects.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Sp Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the victims had been tortured and deprived of their freedom. The arrested suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
