In a concerning incident, four students from Nasarawa State University (NSUK), Keffi, were reportedly abducted by suspected kidnappers in Angwan ka’are, a community in Keffi Local Government Area of the state. The abduction took place outside the university campus at approximately 10:30 pm on Monday.

The kidnapped students have been identified as follows:
1. Rahila Hanya – SLT 100 Level
2. Josephine Gershon – Computer Science 100 Level
3. Rosemary Samuel – Business Administration 100 Level
4. Goodness Samuel – Geography 100 Level

Abraham Ekpo, the University Head of Information and Protocol, confirmed the incident and stated that the university’s internal security is collaborating with other security agencies to secure the release of the abducted students.

The Nasarawa State Police Command also acknowledged the abduction, with DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Public Relations Officer, revealing that the police received a distress call at about 12:55 am reporting an invasion of a house in Angwan ka’are, Keffi, by unidentified armed men. The police, in collaboration with the military, promptly responded and initiated a search operation. They are currently pursuing the abductors.

The Commissioner of Police has ordered a manhunt for the culprits with the aim of rescuing the victims unharmed. Notably, Keffi Local Government Area has experienced a recent surge in criminal activities, including kidnappings, disappearances, and other crimes within the university community, particularly in areas like Angwan Lambu, the High Court, and parts of the LGA.
