Barrister Victor Muruako, Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), praises President Bola Tinubu for his dedication to enhancing Nigeria’s fiscal landscape through amendments to the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007. Muruako emphasized the collaborative efforts and positive changes initiated under President Tinubu’s leadership during an Interactive Session of the Senate Committee on Finance at the National Assembly. The FRC Chairman highlighted the Renewed Hope Agenda’s impact, including the formation of a Presidential committee to address shortcomings in the FRA, 2007. Muruako commended the improved mechanisms, such as stakeholder involvement in the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, reflecting enhanced compliance since the new government assumed office. He emphasized the FRC’s vital role in monitoring and enforcing revenue remittances, contributing to transparent and accountable financial practices in Nigeria.
