Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has filed a formal petition against filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop, accusing him of defamation of character.
The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was submitted to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s legal representatives, Uche Okoro & Co.
In the petition, Leonard alleged that Stanley Ontop had, for more than two years, made repeated statements that damaged his reputation without provocation. He further accused the filmmaker of spreading false narratives that portrayed him negatively, thereby creating a misleading public image.
According to the actor, the actions were deliberate and had caused harm to both his personal and professional life.
Leonard later made the petition public on Monday by sharing it on his Instagram page, warning that he was prepared to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion.
He stressed that anyone making allegations against him must be ready to substantiate their claims with facts, adding that the case would serve as a deterrent to others.
In his words:
“Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba, a.k.a Stanley Ontop, you have been served. The law will take its course to the full extent. You first, others will follow. If you claim or allege, you must prove with evidence. I’m coming for you.”
