FRSC Zamfara State Arrests Suspected Impersonator

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Zamfara state command has arrested one Isma’il Abdullahi who allegedly impersonated the command by engaging 35 youths for replacement in to various FRSC carders in the state.

The state FRSC sector commander, Uchechukwo peter Wihwka, who stated while handing over the suspect to the Police command for investigation, explained that the suspect was arrested after he announced the replacement exercise to the deputy chief Imam of one of the mosques at Unguwar Gwaza Area in Gusau, the state capital also informed the state command about the development.

According to him the suspect collected the sum of N2,000 from each applicant and asked each applicant to pay the sum of N35,000 immediately after the interview before they could be given an offer of their various appointments.

Uchechukwo described the suspect as a scammer and criminal, calling on public to desist from such acts and contact the command directly on any issue relating to employment with a view to avoiding criminals across the state.

Reacting, the suspect Isma’il Abdullahi when interviewed, denied the allegation leveled against him by FRSC, saying that he’s from the Nigeria food safety and hygiene surveilance corps representing Northwest.

On the alledged money extortion, Isma’il Abdullahi confessed to the crime, adding that he is from Kano state and the N2000 collected was for his transportation and other logistics while the sum of N35,000 was for the uniform and identity card for each successful applicant within the state.
