Gombe gov, Yahaya, elected as NGF chairman

On Tuesday, Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor of Gombe State, was chosen as the new Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum. Having secured his second term as governor in the February 2023 general election, Yahaya’s election to this prestigious position reflects his continued leadership and support among his peers in the region.

Inuwa Yahaya will assume the role of Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, succeeding the current chairman, Simon Lalong, who is also the governor of Plateau State. Lalong was elected as the chairman of the forum in 2019 and has served in that capacity until now. Yahaya’s appointment represents a new phase of leadership within the forum as he takes on the responsibilities previously held by Lalong.
