Gov Alia Denies Plans to Dump APC For SDP

By Isaac Kertyo, Makurdi

Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has denied  alleged plans that he was contemplating dumping his party the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Governor Alia, who made the denial through his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, in a press statement, pointed out that the claims is absolutely gratuitous and lacks any trustworthy evidence, and urge people of Benue State to disregard it.

“We wish to encourage people of Benue State that  Governor Alia, remains unyielding and indomitable by these unfounded falsehood. Attempts to undermine his leadership are not only entirely worthless, but manifest a lack of integrity on the part of those perpetuating such lies.”

“The latest round of misinformation indicates that Governor Alia is contemplating a shift to the Social Democratic Party, SDP, alongside with the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam El’Rufai and others. This action do not only wholly mis the mark, but also portray a significant lack of  awareness regarding the substantial bond between the Governor and the President.”

The Governor implored  Benue public to remain observant and to overlook any information that lacks substantiation. He assured that he remains committed to serving communities of Benue with transparency, allegiance and unwavering resolve.
