Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has expressed sadness over the death of Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu and the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Gali Umar Na’abba.
Governor Alia, who described Akeredolu as a gentleman whom he said, gave all in the course of his service for the state, Implored the people of Ondo State to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived an exemplary and purposeful life with remarkable achievements as a public servant, administrator, Lawyer and dedicated family man.
The Governor in a condolence message through his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, described the death of Akeredolu and Na’abba as a great loss, stressing that the lives they touched and their contributions towards the development of the country will be greatly missed, not only by people of Ondo and Kano States alone but by the entire nation.
“Their passage constitutes a big blow to the people of Nigeria whose lives they touched in their eventful lives, which they devoted to public service”, Alia posited.
He prayed that the good Lord will grant the deceased eternal rest and their immediate families the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
