Gov Alia Grants Full Autonomy To Local Governments’ Administration

Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has declared that his administration has given its full blessings to the autonomy granted the 23 Local Government Councils in the state.

Governor Alia, made this declaration at a workshop organized by the Benue Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in collaboration with Timarege Nigeria Limited, for the Local Government Chairmen and members of the Interim Caretaker Committees.

He maintained that his government has mapped out strategic programs and projects for execution and implementation in all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, saying that after completion, it will impact positively the lives of Benue people.

“I am happy to State that my administration has given its full blessings to the autonomy of our local governments. Funds due to local governments will be promptly. We’re therefore committed to the growth and development of the system”, Gov Alia further stated.
