Gov Masari Loses Nephew, Two Police Officers In Accident Involving His Convoy

At least three people – a nephew of Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state, Ahmadu Ali, and two policemen – have died in an accident involving the governor’s convoy.

The names of the policemen who died were given as Nura Safiyanu and Kabir Ali.

The accident happened on Friday night, March 17, while the governor was on his way to his hometown, Masari in Kafur Local Government for the governorship and state assembly elections.

The Director-General to the governor, Al-Amin Isa, said the accident happened at a village called Gadar Tsuntsaye near Jikamshi in Musawa Local Government Area.

Isah said three other people who sustained injuries during the accident were receiving treatment at Malumfashi General Hospital.
