Some Aspirants who contested for the Plateau State House of Assembly tickets in the last All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Plateau South Senatorial Constituency on Monday congratulated Governor Caleb Mutfwang over his victory at the Supreme Court.
” The Victory of our Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang at the polls was never in doubt ,the judgment of the Supreme Court only affirmed the peoples verdict and further lent credence to the legitimacy of his election.”
They also added that the Supreme Court judgement which affirmed Governor Caleb Mutfwang as Plateau State Governor reflects the will of the people of Plateau State and a triumph of democracy and due process in Nigeria.
” The judgement affirming the election of Gov Caleb Mutfwang is highly appropriate and a victory for democracy and the rule of law.”
The group in a press release signed by its Chairman Barr. Selbol Ndam Imported and made available to newsmen in Jos further added that ” We welcome the Apex Court’s verdict as a confirmation of truth over falsehood, a vivid affirmation of the will of the Almighty God in the affairs of Plateau State, and without fear we want to say the judgement truly reflects the wishes and aspirations of the Plateau electorates, who overwhelmingly voted for Bar Caleb Mutfwang in the March 18, 2023, governorship election.
” We are very proud of our judiciary as it has demonstrated the fact that it remains the last hope of the common man
The group called on Governor Mutfwang to put Plateau’s interests above all other considerations so as to move the state forward.
The APC group prayed for divine wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in Barr Caleb Mutfwang, as he settled down in earnest for the profuse task of governing the state.
According to Ndam ” We call on his Excellency , Bar Caleb Mutfwang to carry out an inclusive government, we are members of the APC but we supported the Governor of the State at the Governorship polls, and till date because of his blueprint for the state . ”
They also commended Governor Mutfwang for the good works he has been doing in the state
The group also passed a vote of confidence on the Secretary to the Government of the state ( SGS )Arc Samuel Nanchang Jatau .
