Gov. Mutgwang urges NCPC staff to add value to Commission’s goals

The Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has urged staffers of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC to ensure they add value to the overall cooperate goal of the Commission.

Mutfwang gave this advice when he declared open the 2023 NCPC Retreat held at Crest Hotel,Jos Plateau State.

Governor Mutfwang who was represented by his Deputy Governor, Josephine Piyo expressed her delight to be part of the NCPC 2023 General Staff retreat and urged the staff of the Commission to work towards achieving the corporate goals of the Commission.

He noted that the retreat will give Staff the ample time and opportunity to participate and learn from one another in order to add value to the system.

He commended the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev Dr Yakubu Pam for successfully conducted three Staff retreat since his assumption of office in 2020, according to him, “this is evident that the Staff welfare and success of the Commission is paramount to you.”

Gov. Mutfwang also urged the staff to take the retreat seriously as the essence of the retreat was to instigate a paradigm shift in leadership roles in the Commission.

The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission Rev.Dr.Yakubu Pam in his remarks thanked the Almighty God for another opportunity to hold a staff retreat.
He said, “this is the third in the series that is being held for the second time in the city of Jos, plateau State.”

‘The first of its kind was held in December 2020, shortly after his assumption of office as the third substantive Executive Secretary of the Commission.”

Rev.Pam expressed his delight for having his staff from the headquarters in Abuja and the six geopolitical zones all converged under one umbrella in Jos to bond and at the same time brainstorm for the importance of the Commission.

He assured the staff that this year’s retreat would be different in terms of content and form as it has been planned in such a way that every staff would be affected directly or indirectly for maximum impact.

He said, ” this is evident from the theme of the retreat ; ” Leadership Transformation for Strategic Productivity”.

According to the NCPC Lead, the retreat targeted key leadership areas and exploring strategic principles to heighten productivity of Staff.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Plateau State Christian Pilgrims welfare Board, Bishop Zumbes Juan represented by the Executive Secretary Plateau State Christian Pilgrims welfare Board, Rev.Wanson Bagu applauded the Executive Secretary, Rev. Dr.Yakubu Pam for organizng such interactive retreat and called on Staff of the Commission to make themselves useful during the retreat and make ensure a take home.
