Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, extended heartfelt condolences on Tuesday to the Yar’Adua family, the Katsina State Government, and the people of Katsina over the passing of Hajia Dada Yar’Adua, the esteemed matriarch of the Yar’Adua family.
In a statement personally signed by the Governor, Ododo described Hajia Dada Yar’Adua as a “woman of history and a reservoir of knowledge,” emphasizing that “goddesses are irreplaceable.” He expressed his sorrow and respect, highlighting her significant impact on the nation through her children, including the late former President Umar Musa Yar’Adua.
Governor Ododo praised the late Hajia Dada as an industrious woman, a wise disciplinarian, and a source of inspiration. He noted that her death serves as a reminder of her enduring greatness, principles, and her life of love and tolerance.
“Her passing is a significant loss to the nation, particularly at a time when her wisdom and guidance are deeply needed. On behalf of my family and the people of Kogi State, I extend our deepest condolences to the Yar’Adua family, the people of Katsina State, and Nigerians as a whole,” Ododo said.
