Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Presented 350bn As 2024 Fiscal Year Budget Proposal

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state has presented a tune of 350 billion naira as 2024 fiscal year budget titled” Budget of Restoration and Transformation” to the state House of assembly Friday.

According to Governor Abba Kabir,out of the total amount budgeted, 215.8 billion has been earmarked for capital expenditure while the recurrent expenditure was billed for 134.4 bilion respectively.

Furthermore, the Governor announces that education receive the highest budget amount of 95.3 billion, works 40.4 bilion, physical planning got 5.1 bilion, where agriculture got 11 bilion respectively.

Similarly, water resources got 13.4 bilion, while women and youths got 8.9bilion where the Governor promises to continue executing projects related to human development at both rural and urban settlements.

Speaking to our correspondent shortly after the budget presentation, the chairman of the movement for the support of democracy and good governance, Alhaji Dauda Mohammed Ali disclosed that blocking financial leakage is one of the great factors that influence national development in financial management.
