The state party Chairman Isah Sadiq Achida while addressing newsmen on the Governor’s achievements said some key initiatives included Strengthening Security Operations, Procuring and distributing over 130 patrol vehicles to security agencies to boost mobility and response capabilities.
This move aims to enhance the effectiveness of security personnel in tackling security challenges through establishing Community Guards Corps to complement conventional agencies.
Setting up a community-based security initiative to complement conventional security agencies saying the Corps has been equipped with essential operational tools and logistics, including professional training.
He said at the initial stage 2600 Guards Corps members have undergone training programs to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
On the issue of Equipment and Logistics Supply, 30 Hilux vehicles (2022 model) with full insurance cover were procured to support their operations.
With regards to Local Security Networks, the APC led administration has strengthened community-based security initiatives to foster collaboration between citizens and security agencies.
These initiatives demonstrate the administration’s commitment to addressing security challenges and promoting public safety in Sokoto State.
By empowering local communities and enhancing security infrastructure, the government aims to create a safer environment for residents.
“We advise our political opponents to borrow a leaf from us and Tell the people how they spent our Commonwealth while they were in office. Otherwise, they should stop rushing to press to ridicule themselves with unsubstantiated claims that cannot stand a litmus test”, stated the Chairman.
