Governor Uba Sani Announces 34 New Appointments to Strengthen Kaduna State Administration

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has approved 34 new appointments across various boards, agencies, and institutions in what he described as a move to inject innovation, professionalism, and renewed energy into the state’s governance structure.

In a statement released on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, the appointments are aimed at giving qualified and resourceful professionals the opportunity to contribute to the socio-economic and political transformation of Kaduna State.

Among those appointed are Dr. Suwaiba Shehu Ibrahim, Mni, as Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board; Hon. Nita Byack George, Hon. Monday Tela Bako, Hon. Aliyu Haruna Ahmed, Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim, and Barr. Muhammad Kabir Uthman as Permanent Members and Secretary of the same board.

At the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Hon. Phoebe Sukai Yayi was named Deputy Provost, Samarun Kataf Campus; Engr. Muhammad Sulaiman as Deputy Provost, Soba Campus; and Barr. Abdullahi Kabir as Registrar.

Other appointees include Mallam El-Said Yakubu Lere as Board Chairman, Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC); Zakari Aliyu as Executive Director, KSMC; Hon. Gambo Mathew Bulus as Board Chairman, Kaduna State Agricultural Development Agency (KADA); and Mal. Lawal Usman as Chairman, Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KSSLB).

In addition, Hon. Suleiman Ibrahim was appointed General Manager, Kaduna State Environmental Protection Agency (KEPA); Usman Umar as Executive Director (Corporate Services), Kaduna Mining Development Company Ltd; Barr. Abdulrauf Atiku as Special Adviser (Legal Matters); and Murjanatu Sulaiman Shika as Special Adviser, Vocational Training and Skills Development.

The governor also approved several new Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, including Hon. Timothy Chindo (Emergency Management), DSP Abdullahi AU Ladan (Rtd) (Citizenship and Leadership I), Yusuf Umar Garkuwa (Citizenship and Leadership II), and Aaron Bako (Citizenship and Leadership III). Others include Sulaiman Abubakar Kinkinau (Research, Documentation, and Strategy II), Binta Muhammad (Public Relations), and Francis A. Sani (Zimbo) (Industrial Training and Development).

Additional appointments include Abdullahi Muhammad Sani (LEMA) (Special Duties IV), Augustine Beguwa (Job Creation), Salamatu Saleh Kida (Humanitarian Affairs), Yusuf Aliyu Ahmed (Special Duties), and Abubakar Aliyu (Stakeholder Relations II). Also appointed were Atang Musa Danjuma (Citizenship and Leadership), Nasir Aliyu Baban Yaya (Support Groups III), **Zainab Sani Giwa** (Special Duties IV), **Yusuf Usman** (Support Groups IV), and **Hon. Dogara Unyem** (Support Groups V).

Governor Uba Sani congratulated the appointees, urging them to view their new roles as a call to service. He encouraged them to carry out their duties with commitment, fairness, diligence, and humility while upholding the principles of good governance.

“The new appointees include seasoned professionals and experienced civil servants with proven records of leadership and service,” the statement added. The governor wished them divine guidance and success in their respective assignments.
