Gunmen wreck havoc in Kaduna, kill 12, injure scores

 ..As district head cries for help

Again, twelve people have been confirmed dead while seven others were seriously injured in a fresh attack by unknown gunmen in Kidandan and Kadai village in Giwa local government area of Kaduna State.

The attackers who invaded the area in numbers besieged the villages on Friday afternoon, left three dead and four others wounded. The attacks continued on Saturday night where the gunmen killed nine other persons at Kadai village and left four others in critical condition.

The Kaduna State police Command spokesman Muhammad Jalige could not respond when contract by our correspondent. However, confirming the incident to journalist, the District Head of Fatika and Kaigaman Zazzau, Alhaji Nuhu Lawal Umar appealed to the government to deploy additional security personnel to safeguard the lives and properties of people in the area.


Efforts being made to confirm the categories of casualties in terms of woman and children failed as the number of the district head could no longer go through.
