Gwale Lawmaker To Sponsor 501 Students At Kano State Polytechnic.

The Honorable Member representing Gwale Local Government in the Kano State House of Assembly, Honourable Abdulmajid Isah Umar Mai Rigar Fata pledges to fully sponsor 501 students to study various courses at Basic and Remedial Studies, National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels offered by Kano State Polytechnic.

The lawmaker made this known today Thursday 8th February, 2024 when he paid a courtesy visit to the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA in a press release issues to newsmen in Kano, by the Public relations officer of the Polytechnic, Malam Auwal Isma’il Bagwai.

Mai Rigar fata noted that he decided to make this commitment in consideration of the importance of educating the youth, and giving them entrepreneurial skills which will make them useful members of society.

He further maintained that he chooses to enroll them into the Polytechnic as it remains famous as a citadel of rich academic excellence, especially in the area of skills acquisition.

“I’m ready to shoulder all the financial responsibilities, including payment for application forms, registration, and other expenses. “I want to follow the footsteps of our leader, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, that is why I started with 501 students”, Mai Rigar Fata said.

The Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA while making his remarks expressed his delight over the development, adding that it will elevate the status of the Hon. Member and the good people of Gwale Local Government.

He assured the member that he would provide 501 application forms free of charge, as part of the Institution’s social responsibility. He thanked the member for his bold step to change the lives of 501 students and by extension the society at large.

The Rector further assured the member that the students will graduate with 2 certificates; entrepreneurship skills certificates and their various programs certificates respectively.
