Health Minister Ali Pate Explains Global Shortage of Healthcare Workers

Health Minister Mohammad Ali Pate has addressed the issue of the shortage of healthcare workers in Nigeria, stating that it is a global concern. During an appearance on Channels TV Sunrise Daily, Pate noted that there is a worldwide shortage of almost 18 million health workers. He explained that many Western countries, facing an aging population, are poaching healthcare workers from other nations. Pate emphasized that health worker migration is not exclusive to Nigeria and is a global phenomenon. The shortage of healthcare workers has been a significant challenge, and efforts are being made to address it within the Nigerian context.
