By Daniel Edu

Beatrice Itubo, the gubernatorial flag bearer for the Labour Party in Rivers State for the upcoming March 18 election, is grieving the tragic loss of her sole son. The sorrowful news of the passing of Confidence Itubo was shared by Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, on the microblogging platform, formerly known as Twitter.

Obi expressed his condolences, stating, “I was informed this morning by our River State Chairman, Hilda Dokubo, of the sad news of the death of Dr. Confidence Itubo, the beloved and only son of Mrs. Beatrice Itubo, our Gubernatorial Candidate in Rivers State in the last election.”

In this difficult time, Obi offered his heartfelt prayers and support, saying, “On behalf of my family and the Obidient family, I most sincerely condole with Mrs. Itubo over the painful loss of her cherished son. It is impossible to fathom the anguish of a mother who has lost a son with such a promising future.”

He concluded by invoking a prayer for eternal peace and solace, stating, “May God Almighty, who has called him home at this time, grant him eternal rest in His kingdom. May He also grant his mother and the entire Itubo family the strength to endure this profoundly sorrowful and irreplaceable loss. May God be the source of strength for his mother and bless her always.”
