Hon. Jafaru Ango Pledges Full Support for Nasarawa United’s Promotion

Hon. Jafaru ango vows maximum support for newly promoted nasarawa united, committed to state sports development.

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango (Marafan Yakanaje Uke) has vowed government maximum support for Nasarawa United following their NPFL promotion as well as ensuring sports development in the state.
The astute sports administrator showered encomiums on the team for securing promotion back to the topflight league in Nigeria aftermath of their NNL Super 8 Playoffs triumph. Speaking in the wake of the recent success, Hon. Jafaru in his pressers with journalists began by ascribing praises to the almighty God.
“We thank almighty God for making way for us and also the Gov. of Nasarawa state for being with us from the beginning to this very moment”.
“And to the boys, the Solid Miners, Nasarawa United played what we expected them to play and they put the A performance to the game to set the motion for the promotion”.
“By the grace of God, we will return to our house in good shape as we contest in the NPFL”, he stated.Giving a brief on what the next steps would be after the promotion to ensure stability and good performances, he explained the role of the government as they are committed to ensuring increased sports growth.
“The government will provide absolute support to the team, both in the NNL, NPFL and NWFL”. “My principal, the executive governor of Nasarawa State, the accessible and listening governor. All that we have discussed with him relating to youths entirely has been what he has done for us”.
“There’s no doubt about our governor and his support for the team, he’s solidly behind us and he has given his 100% to sports and you can see it in the facilities in the state if you go there to see them”, he buttressed.
“Most of the facilities are by the governor, he has invested heavily in our youth so that they can keep showcasing their talents and not get involved in anything that’s not worthwhile in the society”.
“It’s good to engage youths in this kind of situation so that they will be proud of us and we will also be proud of them”.”Through the benevolence of his excellency, Nasarawa State is becoming a zone for the north central in terms of football activities and sport in general”, he concluded.
Nasarawa State will now have representatives in the NPFL going into the new season with Nasarawa Amazons maintaining their premiership status in the NWFL.
