House holds valedictory session for Late Hon Ossy prestige

The House of Representatives on Tuesday held a valedictory session for Late Hon. Ossy Chinedu Prestige, who died in February 2021.

speaking at the session, the speaker of the house, Hon Femi Gbajabiala said the late member who represented Aba North/South was a fine gentleman, who “left his footprint in the sand of time”.

Femi who visited the late member while receiving treatment in Germany before his passing said that moment meant a lot and the memory will last forever. He prayed God consoles the family and the people of Abia state noting that Ossy’s death is a great loss to Abians and Nigeria at large.

also speaking at the session, the house Minority leader, Hon Tobi Okechukwu said “The presence of all present here is a testament of who Ossy Prestige is. This is one death, too many. This reminds us of our mortality on earth. I eulogize Prestige.” He further prayed that God grant him eternal rest.

Hon. Tony Elumelu said Prestige worked hard for the good of the people of Abia North/South.

Senate Minority leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe sympathized with the family saying that Ossy was always there for everything that impacted the zone. “He was a father of all.”

At the end of the session, the lawmakers payed their last respect to the dead thereafter adjourned the sitting till tomorrow.
