How Atiku entered the US

Sources have revealed that the trip to the US by PDP presidential candidate to the United States was a closely guarded secret with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki as a major decoy.

While the trip by the Senate President to the US was scheduled and to the knowledge of the Nigerian embassy officials in the in US, that he was being accompanied on the
journey by the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar was a closely guarded secret.

When rumours first broke out of the presence of Atiku in the US there was confusion and denials in authoritative sources.

Information sourced by Daybreak from the Nigerian embassy in US refuted the presence of Atiku Abubakar on US soil. Insisting that if such a high profile Nigerian was to be in the US they would have known and provided protocol.

Also curious was the denial by Atiku sppkesman who initially refused to confirm or deny the trip by Atiku to the US. Paul Ibe, the spokesperson of Atiku outrightly dismissed initial reports as fake news. Same Paul Ibe was to later release a statement confirming the presence of his principal the United State.

While some online media platforms went ahead with the story. Mainstream was skeptical. Confirmation finally came from Atiku verified twitter handled with the message:

“Just arrived Washington D.C for meeting with US government officials, Nigerians living in D.C metropolis and the business community”. -AA
